SURFACE PREPARATION :
Steel & Galvanized Iron
New Surfaces
1) Apply Alpha Chroma ACGT-0369 Galva Treat Solution and rinse with clear water.
2) Wipe the surface with a cloth moistened with ACT-1610 Alpha Chroma Lacquer Thinner to eliminate unreacted Alpha Chroma Galva-Treat Solution. Do not use turpentine or mineral spirits since they leave an oily deposit on the surface.
Repainting - Corroded
1) Remove rust by wire brushing and sanding.
2) Treat with ACRC-0276 Alpha Chroma Rust Converter.
3) Wipe the surface with a clean cloth moistened with ACT-1610 Alpha Chroma Lacquer Thinner to eliminate unreacted rust converter.
Repainting -Uncorroded
1) Remove any flaking or peeling paint.
2) Sand, clean, and dust off the surface.
APPLICATION SYSTEM :

New or Repainting
Primer: Apply one (1) coat of Alpha Strong Epoxy Primer*
*This does not apply to "Repainting-Uncorroded"
Ratio : 3: 1, Primer: Catalyst
Mix 3 parts by volume Alpha Strong Epoxy Primer to 1 part by volume Epoxy Catalyst
Induction Time: Allow to stand for 15 minutes before application.
Recoating Interval: allow overnight drying
Putty: Repair minor imperfections with ACBF-8000 Alpha Strong Polyester Body Filler.
1st Topcoat: Apply one (1) coat of Alpha Gloss or
Apply one (1) coat of Alpha Strong Epoxy Enamel Topcoat.
2nd Topcoat: Apply one (1) coat of Alpha Gloss or
Apply one (1) coat of Alpha Strong Epoxy Enamel Topcoat.
Keep the container dry and tightly closed in a cool and well-ventilated place.
Isolate from sources of heat, sparks, and open flame. Do not use sparkling tools.
Opened containers must be resealed carefully and kept upright to prevent leakage.
Keep away from oxidizing agents and strongly acidic materials.
Always keep in containers with the same material as the original one.
