SURFACE PREPARATION:
New Surfaces
1) Clean the wooden surface until it is free from dust, dirt, and other contaminants.
2) Hammer down the nail heads.
3) Sand the surface until it is smooth and let it dry.
Repainting:
1) Remove any flaking or peeling paint.
2) Hammer down the nail heads.
3) Sand the surface until it is smooth.
4) Clean and dust off the surface.
APPLICATION SYSTEM:
Brush, spray, or wipe with a rag
New or Repainting
GLOSS - Stained Finish
Optional: Apply ALPHA STRONG WOOD BLEACH 1& 2
Putty: Apply one (1) coat of ACWF-2400 ALPHA STRONG Wood Filler (Flat).
Sealer: Apply one (1) coat of ACSS-3600 ALPHA STRONG CLEAR SANDING SEALER (repeat this step, if necessary, followed by light sanding).
Stain: ALPHA STRONG Oil Woodstain.
Note: If a lighter shade is desired, wipe off immediately.
If a darker shade is desired, wipe off after 10 minutes.
Allow it to dry for 24 hours before applying finishing treatments or topcoats.
1st Topcoat: Apply one (1) coat of ACCG-1500 ALPHA STRONG Clear Gloss Lacquer, ACCG-1000 ALPHA STRONG Water White Clear Gloss (Hi-Solids), or ACWB-1000 ALPHA STRONG Bespar Varnish.
2nd Topcoat: Apply one (1) coat of ACCG-1500 ALPHA STRONG Clear Gloss Lacquer, ACCG-1000 ALPHA STRONG Water White Clear Gloss(Hi-Solids), or ACWB-1000 ALPHA STRONG Bespar Varnish.
FLAT - Stained Finish
Putty: Apply one (1) coat of ALPHA STRONG Wood Filler (Flat).
Sealer: Apply one (1) coat of ALPHA STRONG CLEAR SANDING SEALER (repeat this step, if necessary, followed by light sanding).
Stain: ALPHA STRONG Oil Woodstain.
1st Topcoat: Apply one (1) coat of topcoat ACDF-1020 ALPHA STRONG Clear Dead Flat Lacquer.
2nd Topcoat: Apply one (1) coat of topcoat ACDF-1020 ALPHA STRONG Clear Dead Flat Lacquer.
Keep the container dry and tightly closed in a cool and well-ventilated place.
Isolate from sources of heat, sparks, and open flame. Do not use sparkling tools.
Opened containers must be resealed carefully and kept upright to prevent leakage.
Keep away from oxidizing agents and strongly acidic materials.
Always keep in containers with the same material as the original one.
